Imaginative

I at times, like many, have vivid dreams and imaginings particular shards of which can work their way into my paintings. They are neither classical, landscape, abstract of surreal; but simply explorations of images and ideas that I feel the need, and have the pleasure and good fortune of expressing.

My early works were almost entirely an exploration in water colour of such images. My move into oil painting, my times in art collages, my wanderings in some of the most celebrated art museums, my love of nature, my own maturing as a person, and as an architect, have all contributed to broadened, my desire and need for different themes to inspire my image making. But dreams and imaginings still hold dear at times, and so remain part of my artwork.
